The domed central panel, oval in shape, is surrounded by a bronze molding decorated with flowers and a pearl. The mahogany interior is structured with two adjustable shelves on racks. Also with brass inlays, the belt is underlined by scalloped mouldings, and the uprights with cut sides are embellished with patterns, espagnolettes and scraps.
The whole rests on a projecting base fitted with a wrapped bronze. The sides are decorated with a central motif and spandrels. This blackened pearwood support unit will appeal in particular for the rigorous work it has benefited from, both in terms of the choice of species and its quality finish.
