"Saute Commode Louis XVI Period"
CHEST OF DRAWERS from the Louis XVI period in solid walnut, walnut veneer, rosewood, sycamore and blackened wood, slightly curved on all sides. It opens with two drawers inlaid with cubes, embellished with ornamental handles in silvered bronze depicting laurel wreaths and intertwined foliage. They discover in their center profile medals bearing the effigy of Louis XVI. The uprights are lined with superimposed circles. The base is slightly tapered and fluted and it is topped with a red brèche marble from Belgium. Magnificent cabinet work
