Circa 1860 Tunisia Beautiful Tunisian wedding ceremony tunic dating from the Ottoman period before 1878. Silver flat metal embroidery on crimson velvet alternating with Jacquard woven bands in yellow cotton brocaded with flat threads and silver chenillettes. Silver scallops at the base and shoulders. Unstitched fabric at the shoulders. Good condition of color and conservation. Dimensions: height 100 cm, bottom 169 cm. Frayed and unstitched fabric at the shoulders, Altered flat yarns at the yellow stripes. Otherwise good general structural condition.
