This 16th century sculpture of a gentleman represents a character dressed in the bourgeois fashion of his century. His clothes, very characteristic, are very well sculpted.
He wears a long tunic with a Walloon neckline closed by a large ribbon, cinched at the waist by a belt in the fashion of the Renaissance with sheath and dagger for defense and above, a long cape. His hat, bearing distinctions, could identify an association or corporation.
Formerly polychrome, it is by its raw wood, full of strength.
Presented to be hung on the wall, it brings a very original decorative aspect.
In good condition with lacks due to time (Hands and ends of the legs).
Comes from a large private collection
