Oil on panel
H. 38 cm; L. 46 cm
Remained anonymous, this panel is not devoid of quality, far from it. It is a postcard image that our painter, who does not sign, offers in this view of La Roque Gageac. The Château de la Malartrie, which is located near this house, is actually in the town of Vezac and not La Roque Gageac as often thought. Typical of the Périgord Noir, this small one-room house is covered with lauzes and bordered by a flowered path. The support and the technique would make us opt for a production period in the 1930s.
