Exceptional painting by its beauty and its large format (1.30 x 90. 1.15 x 77) by the Bordeaux painter Félix Antoine Cantegril born in Bordeaux in 1846, he has exhibited there since 1867. Pupil of Louis Auguin, himself very friendly with the painter Gustave Courbet, hence the influence of his painting in his landscapes. He exhibited in Paris in 1870, he received the gold medal in La Rochelle in 1867, and silver medal in Paris and Montpellier in 1868 and 1869. Here very beautiful representation of a sheepfold scene in the countryside, oil with remarkable light, and a superb pictorial technique. Table in its own juice! Origin Bordeaux castle!
