Grand Cartel Napoleon III

Large cartel and its console from the Napoleon III period (Dimensions: 1 m 05 high X 40 cm wide) curved curved structure with rich Boulle marquetry set against a red tortoiseshell background enlivened with a decoration à la Bérain completed by a beautiful ornamentation in chiseled gilded bronze depicting at the top a winged victory sounding the triumph and holding a golden palm in the hand, the facade is decorated with a cupid seated on clouds, the whole is punctuated by foliage and leaves, cornice mold, clogs and shells, etc. Dial with enamel cartouches on a gilded bronze background decorated with a profile of Louis XIV flanked by fleur-de-lys, garlands bearing the symbol of the dolphin. The movement is driven by a sunburst pendulum, complete to be overhauled. Beautiful watchmaking offered in very satisfactory condition, note rare gaps and uplifts.
