"Napoleon III Boulle Marquetry Table"
Large Napoleon III center table with a curved curved structure opening with a large frieze drawer with its lock provided with a pretty ornate key. Curved furniture on all sides animated by a rich André Boulle marquetry in gilded brass on a red tortoiseshell background with Berain motifs composed of foliage scrolls, vases, fleurons, rosettes and caryatid heads. The set is enriched by a beautiful ornamentation of gilded bronzes depicting caryatids in a console on the four arched legs, the top is embellished with an elegant gadrooned astragal border in gilded bronze and mascarons adorn each of the sides in a belt, the base is ends with hooves with openwork foliage motifs. Good condition. Dimensions: 1 m 50 long X 92 cm wide X 78 cm high.
