"Pendulum "gardener With Sphinxes" Empire Period XIX"
Gilt bronze clock representing a basketry planter supported by two sphinxes surrounding the movement with an enamel dial signed "? à Paris". Ovoid base with two degrees chiseled with a frieze of flowers, water flowers and the mask of Apollo in the center accompanied by two griffins on each side, it rests on four small round feet chiselled with friezes of pearls. Original double patina mercury gilding in very good condition cleaned by our workshop. Wire movement (old modification) operating with its key, striking the hours and half-hours revised by our Watchmaker.
