Nadal Jean - René , Cabriolet Armchair from the Louis XVI Period Nice Cabriolet Armchair in Natural Wood from the Louis XVI Period. Upholstered with a Pretty Tapestry with Floral Decor. Seat, Padding and Perfect Stability. Stamped by Jean - René NADAL dit NADAL L'AINE Jean-René Nadal (1733-1783) dit Nadal the Elder. Carpenter-sculptor. Master's degree obtained on September 22, 1756 "Jean-René Nadal is the eldest son of Jean Nadal, carpenter, and the daughter of his colleague Jean Cresson. He is also the brother of Jean-Michel Nadal, himself a carpenter. Nadal took over the rue de Cléry workshop – probably after the death of his father – and decided to establish himself in the same street under the sign of the "Lion d'Argent”.
