Original and beautiful decorative piece of furniture, this chest bench inspired by the châyeres or cathedre of the 15th century, is typical of fashionable manufactures under the Napoleon III period with this strong comeback of the Gothic and troubadour style that this period experienced. This piece of furniture takes up the napkin fold patterns for the panels on the front of the chest, under the cornice a lambrequin with its pointed arches and the small pinnacles which finalize the corner pillars. the armrests are with butts. 19th century period - Walnut - Good condition and beautiful patina - trunk floor replaced in the 20th century
