Pair Of Engravings 16th / 17th Christ With Miracles By Gérard Van Groeningen

Two engravings from the series of the miracles of Christ, from the 16th / 17th century on watermarked paper complete with their margins by the great Antwerp artist Gerard Van Groeningen/Groenning (1515-1599)*.
The engraving on the left represents Christ healing 10 lepers and that on the right Christ healing the man with a withered hand.
Sold with frames contemporary glasses.
Good general condition, presence of foxing and small tear in the upper part for the engraving on the right. they measure approximately 230mm x 275mm. *Gérard van Groeningen (1550 - 1599) Flemish engraver and creator of prints, active in Antwerp. In earlier literature the P in his monogram was interpreted as Paludanus, but this is not based on any documentary evidence.
