Portrait up to the knees, of a charming young lady of quality, who wears the high waist raised under the breasts, the wide neckline is covered with a short white jacket in the English fashion, on the seat is placed a long red shawl of cashmere. The woman is seated on a chaise longue, holding her head with one hand while the other is delicately placed in front of her. Background is neutral.
