RARE coat of arms in carved wood and crown.
In 3 elements united in the same frame.
With the arms of the Marquis de Villeneuve f'Arifat (Tarn) Toulouse and the Counts of Saignes (Languedoc).
Solid wood (walnut) carved.
Dimensions:
30 cm x 48 cm (framed).
25.4 cm x 43.3 cm (all 3 panels combined). "Arms of the Marquis de Villeneuve d'Arifat, which read as follows: Gules with a silver sword, placed in a band, point down. SUPPORTS: 2 lions each holding a banner, that of dexter with the arms of Villeneuve and that with sinister with the arms of Toulouse. MOTTOES:
*1: the sword shines like the sun
2*: to the victorious and faithful Nobility of Languedoc.
There is another coat of arms of azure with the silver sword, the sword placed in a band, point down, which are the arms of the Counts of Saignés".
