Beautiful oil on canvas by the painter Normand André GARDIN representing Mont Saint Michel with cows that graze quietly. This painter was born in Saint Jamet in 1918 and died in 1959.
He attended the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Rennes in 1941.
He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Bas-Normands in 1949 where he received the 1st Prize.
1951 Salon de la Marine Award.
The painting is located on the back: around DRAGEY in the spring - the bay of Mont Saint Michel.
It’s signed at the bottom right.
