Large mushroom lamp with baluster base and large conical shade. In multi-layered glass finely acid-etched in cameo with rotating decoration of rosehip branches in bloom and pink-garnet buds on an opaque yellow-orange satin background. Note that the foot is also entirely engraved with the same decoration. Double lighting all original and checked. A bulb illuminates the hat, a second illuminates the foot. Original wrought iron frame that uses the same decorative theme of flowers and wild rose leaves. Art Nouveau period. Signed in cameo on the foot "D'Argental" with the Cross of Lorraine. Form, decoration and realization by the master glassmaker Paul Nicolas (1875-1952) in collaboration for the glassware with the Cristallerie de Saint Louis. Very nice color contrast whether the lamp is on or off! Dimensions: Height: 55 cm Height of the foot alone: 40 cm Hat diameter: 25 cm and 27 cm at the widest. Foot diameter: 18 cm Very good condition. Lamp of very good quality, very finely chiseled, rare in this size (55 cm).
