"Blolo Bla Baoulé Ivory Coast, Archaic"
I offer you this beautiful statue called blolo bla, the famous representation of the husband of the beyond among the Baoulés. It presents a very important ceremonial patina, these statues being regularly coated with palm oil or shea butter, kaolin, millet beer, ashes...etc... The feet are missing. The face is smiling, serene, peaceful, the hands on the stomach as often as a sign of fertility, the scarifications well represented. It has a custom base, from a collection in Angers. . Height 40 cm
