Pair Of Mustache Club Armchairs

Pair of Club Mustache armchairs in leather. 20th century leather seats.
These armchairs have a deep seat which allows them to rest completely at the bottom of them which gives them unequaled comfort. The name "mustache" comes from the shape of the backrest. They are in excellent condition and the leather has aged very well.

The club chair is a wide, deep leather chair. Appeared at the beginning of the 20th century, it is a French piece of furniture first known under the name of "comfortable armchair" before taking its current name. It is said to be “comfortable” as opposed to the “style” armchair, straighter and less enveloping. The presence of the term "club" in the name is perhaps related to the French and English gentlemen's clubs existing in the colonies.
