Venetian Reliquary Hunting - Saint Pacifique - XVIIIth flag

Object description :

"Venetian Reliquary Hunting - Saint Pacifique - XVIIIth"
The relic as a vehicle of Faith, makes it possible to materialize the Divine, to make it accessible, not to say comprehensible.
If so-called cramped relics, ie those which only include a fragment of a Saint, provided that they are visible to the naked eye, are extremely numerous, notable relics are rarer.

Our reliquary hunt exposes and protects notable relics, those of Saint Pacific and Holy Relics.

In gilded and green lacquered wood with imitation marble decorations, it rests on two reclining lions and surmounted by a large palmette, housing a montage of gilded and silvered threads with flower motifs, the whole accommodating the relics of Saint Pacific as well as Holy Relics.
Presence of wax seals.
Saint Pacific, was an Italian priest from the city of Ancona, who left the terrestrial world in 1720.

A nice Italian work from the Venice region, mid-eighteenth century.
