Circa 1860-1880 France Lovely pair of men's slippers embroidered with petit point wool in a very assertive Second Empire floral decor! Cream cotton and leather lining, finely studded fawn leather soles and heels. Piping in applied brown curly velvet ribbon (small gaps at the heels). A few missing wool stitches and slight crushing at the heel. Period patina but stable structural condition. Good condition. Dimensions: equivalent men's size 39-40 suitable for a very thin foot. Length 27 cm, vamp 16 cm.
