"Pair Of Cassolettes Or Urns In The Antique In Bronze And Marble, Barbedienne Colas, XIX"
Very nice pair of cassolettes or antique urns in patinated bronze and marble. On a white marble base adorned with gilded bronzes, an antique-style urn vase stands. It is decorated with scenes with antique characters inspired by the friezes found in Pompéi. This is a famous model by the bronzier Barbedienne but not signed. On the other hand, during the dismantling of the elements, we found the Collas mechanical reduction stamp which had been associated with Barbedienne since 1838. The white marble has some yellow spots on a base and a slight crack on the top. Napoleon III period around 1850. Delivery 30 euros in France, 80 euros in the EU and 150 euros rest of the world.
