"Reliquary Hunting Of The Saint Ursula Society - Early Eighteenth"

A notable relic of the Sainte Ursule society, exhibited in a reliquary hunt, in turned and molded wood flanked by two twisted columns.
The enshrined relic consists of a head, veiled, and decorated with a mounting of gold and silver threads as well as beads.
On the back, presence of wax seals with incomplete Latin inscriptions.

This is a work from southern Germany, from the beginning of the 18th century.
The dimensions are 37 cm high, 26 cm wide and 16 cm deep Accidents and small losses.

The order of Saint Ursula, founded in 1535 in Italy, is mainly dedicated to the education of girls as well as the care of the sick and the needy.
