"Pair Of Renaissance Style Round Plates By Gien Earthenware Factory & Sèvres Imperial Factory"
Rare pair of Gien earthenware biscuit dishes enamelled at the Imperial Manufacture of Sèvres, the decoration of each identical dish, alternating blue enamel and white biscuit depicting a wild boar hunting scene, the center of the dish decorated with a medallion with a head of Gorgon. At the bottom a monogram “EF. ".Bear old labels mentioning “enamelled Gien biscuit at the manuf(actu)re imp(aria)le de Sèvres”.
