Small Chest Of Dauphiné In Walnut XVIII Eme Century
Charming little jigsaw chest of drawers in solid walnut from the Louis XV period, dating from the middle of the 18th century.
work probably from Dauphiné, we can see it by the quality of the walnut used and the assembly at the back of the piece of furniture, as well as the flat sides also called "dabs", take a good look at the photos, thank you.
this light chest of drawers is also an in-between chest of drawers, ideal and easy to place in any type of interior thanks to its sobriety.
very beautiful original patina, bronze buttons and original keyholes too.
it has been completely overhauled at the workshop but to say really there is almost no restoration!
it is a flower of the corner, and has only undergone a preventive treatment with xylophene and it has been re-waxed several times to obtain a beautiful glaze.
it opens with two large drawers on the front, moreover the front is slightly curved, it rests on 4 curved legs and the top is nicely curved and molded.
the feet have not been grafted!
the locks are old but there are no more keys.
the drawers are fitted with dovetails and the interiors of the drawers are made of fir.
lovely proportions, a superb patina, a very decorative little chest of drawers.
