Old & rare Japanese Nirayama Travai type Jingasa samurai flat weapon hat dating from the end of the Meiji era (1868-1912). Composed of a braiding of vegetable fibers, lacquer and fabric Copper frame decorating the whole (the back blade to be reattached) The interior is red lacquered; The particularity of the jingasa nirayama is their material which makes them foldable. As the photographs show, this object of curiosities has suffered the ravages of time. Beautiful object of curiosities.
