"Commode "
Small Regency Commode, Curved on All Faces in Precious Wood Marquetry, Period of the First Half of the 18th Century. The front uprights are hectic and pinched in Amaranth Marquetry with geometric decoration and lined with gilded Bronzes, finished with the Arch of Its Small Feet. The frame is made of oak and resinous wood. Beautiful Parisian work for this small chest of drawers "D'entre Deux" from the first half of the 18th century. It opens on the front with 5 drawers arranged in 3 rows, separated by visible crosspieces, which close with 2 keys. This Cabinetmaker has chosen a great diversity and quality of precious wood veneer in shimmering colors, decorated with Flowers on a Rosewood background, surrounded by light wood Grecian Nets, in Violet Wood Frames. The sides are in Rosewood Marquetry decorated with Superb Flower Vases. Our chest of drawers is topped with a Royal Red Marble with Bec de Corbin. Beautiful state of conservation, the varnish has simply been revived. Definitely an order from La Noblesse .. We did not find a stamp, it deserves amply. Although at the beginning of the 18th century, the stamp only arrived in The Regency, under Louis XIV, is certainly the most prestigious period of the 18th century. Our chest of drawers measures 102 cm in length, 53 cm in depth and 79 cm in height. She is in very good condition.
