"Putti Or Child Jesus, Without Foot, Good Eye Full Of Going From The Eighteenth Century"
I really like the title: putti or child jesus, footless but good eye, full of energy since the 18th century. Baby Jesus with a determined look in a vertical position, who stares at you with his glass gaze with gentleness and attention. This wooden statue has some gaps certainly due to a few accidents during its processions... It has kept the double articulation of its arms which will always allow it to be dressed for its next pilgrimages. The disproportion of the head and the body is striking, the baby is very young (barely out of the nursery...) On the other hand, the serenity which emanates from the face is astounding. The polychromy is of origin which I suspect is Baroque and Savoyard .... even Italian
