Rosa Serra (Vic, Barcelona 1944)belongs to the generation that imposed a rupture within Olotina sculpture. Her admiration of three-dimensional figures led her to Lluís Curós, her first teacher. In 1970 she entered the Lluís Carbonell Academy, where she studied drawing and painting, and two years later she entered the School of Fine Arts in Olot, where she studied drawing, ceramics and engraving for three years. She held her first solo exhibition in 1972, in Barcelona. From 1973 she dedicates herself to sculpture. In 1976, she received the sculpture prize at the III Bilbao Biennial.
