Framed by a garden green lacquered wooden strip, presented under anti-reflective glass. Very good state. Dimensions with frame: H 36.5 cm - W 44.5 cm

Michel DEBIEVE 1931 - 2021

Michel Debiève and his twin brother Raymond, were born in 1931 in Maubeuge in the North of the France. They discover their creative side very young and will work together for a long time. They studied at the Beaux-Arts in Valenciennes, where their work was quickly noticed and rewarded. Raymond and Michel work with metal, enamel, create jewellery, learn about the glass arts and stained glass as well as clay modeling. In 1960, the twins separated, Michel in Nantes, Raymond in Provence. Michel Debiève has exhibited in Paris in various galleries: Galerie Mai, Galerie du Siècle, Galerie La Demeure as well as at La Porte Ouverte alongside many artists. He is also exhibited in Lille (Galerie des Flandres), in Nantes (Galerie Michel Columb, Galerie Bourlaouen, Galerie Art Espace, in Quimperlé or Crozon-Morgat. He is also present at the Museum of Fine Arts in Nantes and Valenciennes. He exhibited regularly until his disappearance at the end of 2021
