"Marianne, Oval Bas Relief, Bronze From The Nineteenth Century."
This representation of Marianne in oval medallion is rare to find and of good quality. She is the Marianne of the first era, her first name was born in 1848, (it was previously called the Republic). When the November 1848 Constitution was drafted, the motto "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity" was defined as a "principle" of the Republic: article IV. Marianne and the mottos are united in this beautiful medallion, high quality and beautiful patina. The sculpture seems mid-nineteenth, it is anonymous. Dimensions: 28.5cm x 19.5cm. Medallion 21 cm X 17 cm. Good condition.
