"Japanese Bronze Vase Nineteenth"
Japanese long-necked vase in bronze dating from the Meiji era. The top of the body is curved into four waves and its surface is decorated with the traditional Japanese “sea wave” pattern seigaiha or seigainami (清海波). Its collar is adorned with two curved dragons to form two small handles. The vase rests on an unpatterned pedestal. Nuances in the patina and the texture of the bronze are to be noticed on the neck and the top of the body. The color of the vase tends to red in places. Its opening has some irregularities. Beautiful volumes and engraving details.
