"Large Schneider Vase Model "fleurettes" 39.5 Cm In Etched Glass Art Deco Period 1928-1930"
Two different glass etching techniques, one with acid, the other with a wheel for this large frosted glass vase. With acid for the purple to transparent gradient background, with an intaglio wheel for the flower decoration. It rests on a large circular heel tinted purple in the mass and hot glued, perfectly symbolizing the Art Deco style. A demanding job of acid etching and wheel engraving, not to mention the polishing of the reliefs! Signed "Schneider" in cursive letters on the edge of the heel. Period 1928 - 1930. Beautiful signature on the so-called "cut" wheel. This signature, which only master glassmakers were able to achieve, was therefore reserved for the finest quality pieces. Height: 39.5 cm Heel diameter: 13.5 cm Collar diameter: 14.5 cm Very good original condition. Tiny marks of use. The color gradient is perfectly mastered, in perfect continuity.
