Lively street scene in Hyères Oil on panel signed, dated and located lower right "Hyères, Louis Béroud, 1924". Louis Béroud (1852-1930) Dimensions of the work: Height 35 cm x Width 27 cm Dimensions of the frame: Height 46.5 cm x Width 38.5 cm Fixed in Paris where he worked with the decorators Lavastre and Gourdet, then with Bonnat, Louis Béroud exhibited at the Salon from 1873. He obtained a bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1900. On August 22, 1911, visiting the Louvre, he was the first to realize the disappearance of the Mona Lisa . Some of his paintings are kept at the Louvre Museum, the Carnavalet Museum and the Fabre Museum in Montpellier.
