From 1933, after his secondary studies, Jean Vinay settled in Paris, in Montmartre and decided to become a painter.
He works relentlessly, training mainly in museums. From the beginning of the German occupation, he went to Algiers to a childhood friend and met Albert Marquet who lent him his studio.
Back in Paris in 1946, success took shape very quickly. He meets many painters who become his friends, exhibits in several large galleries and participates in the most important artistic events.
He quickly becomes a great name in painting and will be recognized by all as "The painter of Paris".
Its reputation crosses borders and a large part of its production is sold abroad. It is hosted by museums and in major collections.
