Beautiful art nouveau pastel with white chalk signed by the painter Gaston Bouy (1866-1943).

The style of the artist is quite recognizable, known mainly for his elegant women sitting on the back.

The work dates from the early 20th century. The colors are very beautiful.

It is in good condition, some small stitches, minimal stains are present.
The pastel is protected under glass.

Henri-Gaston-Jules-Louis Bouy - is better known as Gaston Bouy. He worked in Belgium with Amedee Boursou before studying in Paris and at the “Académie Julien” and the “École des Beaux-Arts”. He exhibited in many Parisian salons and became known for his pastel portraits of beautiful women.
