Ghoum carpet measuring 140 cm wide by 225 cm long, hand-knotted in Iran around 1970 - 1980 in very good condition.
The beginning of the manufacture of Ghom carpets is set up in this city around 1920/1930 on the initiative and perseverance of the knotters and merchants of Kashan.
One finds besides, many resemblances, in the medallions and the borders with the Kashan type.

But the skilful and precise knotters as well as the "Ostads" cardboard designers have imposed their know-how thanks to the perfection of their work and the amplitude of the range of designs and colors.

The knot used is the Persian knot tied very tightly on a fine wool of very good quality.
The decorations of plants, flowers, intertwined plants and animals, as well as the use of wool mixed with silk is done regularly.
