"Breton Interior By Hermann Anker"
Hermann Hanker is an artist born in the Netherlands in 1832 and died in Paris in 1883. He studied at the academy of his native city, then came to France in 1852. He left interior paintings with figures. Anker resided in Pont-Aven for fourteen years. There are works by him in the Museum of Brest as well as in Pont-Aven.
