"The Rascal"
A rascal scares his little sister with a carnival mask in the old kitchen, and his mother rebuffs him...a charming scene of everyday life. This painting is a reworking of the painting by Eugenio Zampighi (1859-1944), an Italian painter specializing in the affectionate representation of the intimate life of his contemporaries. The painting is in excellent condition and we have changed the frame. the painting bears a museum stamp 'authorized copy'. it was certainly made during the interwar period given the age of the canvas.
