Horikawa Gear Robot Japan

horikawa gear robot appeared for the first time in the catalog Marshall field & company in 1964 1965. It is one of the only robots which has a speed control Its red button on the head allows to decrease or increase the speed of action. there was a second version (like here) where the lights of the torso were surrounded by a red and yellow lithograph which makes the torso more shimmering the green red and yellow lights flash in sequence. Everything seems to have been sold before 1971, because any boxes is missing. features the letters ST(safety toys).The new variant's panels were so mass produced that metal house used them until 2009! the robot is in good condition no corrosion in the battery compartment; it is presented with its original box which has a brown spot in the upper left corner. In action it is a beautiful robot with its colored spinning wheels and its colored bulbs
