"Portrait Of A Woman: 19th Century"
Portrait of a woman from the mid-19th century. Oil on canvas. The woman is dressed in a quality dress, called Roman style, in blue satin with a fine lace collar, puffed sleeves. She is wearing a braided bun with a flat headband and drooping ringlets on the forehead and ears. It is the portrait of a woman from a wealthy background. Original frame, in gilded stucco, Empire style with slight lacks and traces of wear (gilding). Canvas in good condition with slight cracks, wear. Old restorations. Good state of presentation. Unsigned. Can be sold in pair with a portrait of a man (see last photo and Proantic ad).Dimensions of the canvas: 62 x 51 cm.
