Lovely pastel on cardboard representing a young woman richly adorned with a necklace, earrings and a matching tiara comb in fine pearls. Typical of the 1st Empire, flat curls on the forehead and the temples, a pink dress edged with fine lace, she stares at you with her beautiful blue gaze... Period: first quarter of the 19th century. Work of great finesse, a perfectly mastered execution. See my photos of the work without the protective glass! A professional frame: the pastel is mounted in an old stick (more recent) under glass equipped with cleats in order to avoid any contact of the work with the glass.
