China - Standing Court Lady - Han Dynasty (220 Bc - 206)

Elegant Chinese court lady in terracotta with engobe from the Han Dynasty. She is dressed in a loose garment with long sleeves, also covering the feet while flaring out. The hair is pulled back ending in a knotted tail. The face is particularly expressive due to the very well preserved features. Very good general condition, remains of polychromy by pigments.
