"John Constable, 22 Prints By David Lucas After"
From 1829 Lucas knows John Constable and works intensively and produces engravings from Various subjects of landscape, characteristic of English scenery from 1830 to 1832. He will continue to work for the Constable family after the latter's death in 1837. All 22 prints are mezzotints with etching, roulette and drypoint. They were originally published in 5 parts between June 1830 and July 1832 (8 published in 1830, 11 in 1831 and 3 in 1832). The dimensions are between 26cm and 36cm with margins. All engravings have oxidation spots without harming the perception of the work.
