Pierre Raighasse (1912 - 1960) Trained as an architect, he was also a landscape painter, mainly Breton, in his early years. Taking advantage of a long stay in Oceania in the 1950s when he was called upon to draw up the plans for several public or religious buildings in New Caledonia, including the Ethnographic Museum of Noumea, he executed a few Oceanic landscapes, including the two oils on panel presented in the gallery.
