We present today this large painting, an oil on canvas from the Empire period entitled "the happy family". In fact, this painting is a very small piece of history. In a beautiful Empire apartment, certainly near a barracks, on the right a scene with soldiers parading in order. We believe that it is a young man who is about to enlist in the Emperor's army and who bids farewell to his family. Beautiful painting very well framed, it has been relined.
