LEFORT, Georges (1875-1954). "Cavan (North Coasts)". (1900). Blue pencil and watercolour. 47.7 x 31.4 cm. Located, dated (1900) and signed lower right. The Saint-Chéron de Cavan church, whose bell tower has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1927. Georges Robert Lefort was born in Paris in 1875 and died in Guingamp in 1954. Student at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he settled as an architect and urban planner in Guingamp in 1906. He was architect of the City of Rennes, ordinary architect of Historic Monuments, architect of the Hospices Civils de Rennes, architect of the City of Guingamp. We also owe him several buildings in Saint-Brieuc or Dinan; he worked on the restoration of several churches in Brittany.
