Tumbler by Puiforcat with twisted sides, finely engraved, in the spirit of the model of the gold beaker of Anne of Austria kept in the Louvre, Niarchos collection. This evokes artistic goldsmithery and the centerpiece of the goldsmith's collection gathered throughout his life by Louis-Victor Puiforcat. The shape evokes the famous timpani of Anne of Austria which “is one of those precious objects fashioned by the exceptional know-how of the great goldsmiths of past centuries for the sovereigns of the royal courts”.
