Large, fine Aubusson tapestry, wool and silk : Chinese garden with a Chinese pagoda surmounting a waterfall and parrots. That work is typical of the French ornemanist Jean Baptiste Pillement. Aubusson, Louis XV period, 18th century circa 1750.
Beautiful large size piece, with fresh colors. It is a must have for decorating French 18th century castles and mansions.
Beautiful polychromy, in shades of blue, green and red, well preserved overall. Some wear and restorations. The tapestry is lined and equipped with hanger hooks.
