"17th Century Lyre Writing Table"
This important writing center table is completely made of walnut and has an exceptional patina. The cabinet, with two drawers, is characterized by a simple and elegant setting with the two drawers finely molded with various carving orders. The single plank top shows an exceptional patina, as does the entire table. A particular feature of the table is that originally it could close the lyres so that it could be transported on a trip. In fact, it is highly probable that the lyres were connected to the table through irons that could be unhooked and that the carved ribs present today were subsequently applied with ancient wood.
The measurements of the table are: 133 x 65 x 82 height.
The piece of furniture is in an excellent state of conservation, any cleaning and patination interventions will be carried out by us prior to delivery.
We enclose a certificate of authenticity with the sale.
