Circa 1960 South Tunisia Very long Berber shawl or veil woven on a handloom on the borders of the desert. Piece collected in Matmatah in indigo blue and thin sky-blue stripes at each end. Wool fringes tied at both ends. Very good condition despite a tiny hole at an angle and 2 to three tiny moth holes Ecxellent structural condition. To be used as a sofa throw, blanket for the bed or simply a shawl. Dimensions: 448 cm long by 111 cm wide.
